A couple of weekends ago I went to Gunlock Reservoir for the first time. It was a short drive from St. George and very pretty. Parking is great and close to the water.
One of the downsides of the reservoir is that it doesn't have a great beach area. It is very rocky and there are a lot of crawdads on the shore (yuck!). I could see that across from where we were the beach looked a little better. This is where most of the people were who were on waverunners and boats.
Overall though it is a great reservoir! Be careful though if you are going to be on a boat or waverunner because it is a very small reservoir. My husband's cousin was killed at this reservoir...I'd hate to hear of an accident happening.
