Community Give Back 2015

The votes are in! THANK YOU to everyone who voted and have shown excitement to participate in this years Community Give Back! Our "winner" for the Community Give Back this holiday season is the Children's Justice Center. I am really excited and I hope you all are too!

About the Children's Justice Center:

The Children's Justice Center provides a home-like setting for alleged victims of child abuse to be interviewed during the investigation process. Their goal is to have the child experience as little secondary trauma as possible. The Children's Justice Center is the advocate for the child and provides them with medical examinations (when they are appropriate), protection, prosecution (when appropriate), respect, care and looks out for the best interest of each child no matter what their ethnicity, religion, gender or disability. To read more about the CJC's mission click here.

I spoke to Shelley Teeples, the Director, and she is ecstatic and so appreciative that we are willing to donate items to their center. I am planning to do a live Periscope tour of the facility with her next week so you can all see the center and learn more about what organizations your donations will be helping.

So how can we help?

Where to deliver/mail your donations:

Markel Realty Group has volunteered to be a drop off/mailing location. You can mail your donations to the address below or if you prefer to save money on postage and want to drop them off you are welcome to do so Monday- Thursday from 9:00 am - Noon or 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Hopefully someone will be in the office but if for some reason it is closed (sometimes people have to leave to meet with clients or run errands) then if you are comfortable you can leave your items by the front door. Or if your donation is small (like stamps, cash, or a gift card) you can put it in the drop box by the front door any time. I need to receive all donations by December 15th.
