Huntsman World Senior Games

Monday is the first day of the Huntsman World Senior Games! The games will end on October 17th. St. George is going to be hoppin'! There will be a lot of people in town starting today because of the marathon this weekend and the the games the next two weeks. So all you with road rage better start some yoga and breathing exercises ;-) Just kidding.

The games will go from October 5th until the 17th. To see a full schedule of the sporting events click here. Go cheer on those athletes! They will love it.

The opening ceremonies will be on Tuesday, October 6th at 7:00 pm. It will be held at the Hansen Stadium at DSU. This is a free event for everyone! They will have a performance by Diamond Talent (a local dance studio) and Rafer Johnson will speak. I used to dance at Diamond Talent when I was in middle and high school. I loved performing at the opening ceremonies. It was always a cool experience. To read more about the opening ceremonies and the history of Rafer Johnson click here.

On October 13th at 7:00 pm there will be a free concert as part of the games. The British Invasion Tribute will be performing. The concert will be held at the DSU Burns Arena. The address is 700 E 400 S, St. George, UT 84770. To read more about the concert and band click here. Below is a video of them performing.
