So What's Happening for the 4th of July??

The 4th of July weekend is almost here! What are your plans for the weekend? Here are a few ideas of what you can spend your weekend doing.

I honestly don't know what we will end up doing. We just got back from Miami and have been so focused on catching up on things we missed while we were away we haven't had a chance to decide. I better get on that! Last year we spent our night at the Sunbowl enjoying the free concert and fireworks. That was pretty fun.

Friday, July 3rd:
All day celebrations in Brian Head * Food, fun and fireworks! * Click here for more information

7:00 am Red, White and Blue Bike Ride  (15 miles) * for EVERYONE! * FREE! * Meet at the Canyons Softball Complex on Snow Canyon Parkway * Don't forget your helmet and your patriotic clothing :)

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm 4th of July parade float preview, Uncle Sam 5K packet pick up and food trucks at the Ridge Top Complex at George Streetfest on Main Street

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm George Streetfest on Main Street * Food, free concert, crafts, vendors and more! * Fun for EVERYONE!

7:00 pm Patriotic Concert in Cedar City * FREE! * Located at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cedar City * For EVERYONE! * Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms

Saturday, July 4th:
All day celebrations in Brian Head * Food, fun and fireworks! * Click here for more information

6:30 am Uncle Sam 5K

7:00 am - 11:00 am Breakfast at Veteran's Park in Washington

7:30 am - 10:00 am Breakfast catered by Staheli's Catering (Not sure where but I would guess it's at Vernon Worthen Park)

8:00 am - 3:00 pm Games and food at Veteran's Park in Washington

8:00 am "American Heroes - A Tribute to Our Troops" City of St. George Parade * Parade ends at Vernon Worthen Park

9:00 am - 10:00 pm Vendors, activities, concerts, food vendors, and more * At Vernon Worthen Park and the St. George Recreation Center across the street from the park

6:00 pm Festivities begin at the Sunbowl

8:00 pm - 10:00 pm Free concert at the Sunbowl presented by KONY Country

10:00 pm Fireworks Show by City of St. George * Musical accompaniment provided by KONY Country

** There are also other activities going on like plays at Tuacahn and Brigham's playhouse, The Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, and more. If these are the types of activities you are looking for Click here ** And don't forget museums, restaurants and shops will be open too **
