Views From the St. George Water Tank

Last night Seth and I went up on top of the water tank in St. George. The views of the city are beautiful! The water tank is on Red Hills Parkway by the Dixie Rock, AKA the Sugarloaf. Back in the day (maybe the 60's or 70's from what I've heard) people used to go up there and hold dances. About a year and a half ago Red Rock Swing started holding weekly swing dances on top of the water tank to reenact the old days. I haven't seen any dances held up there in a long time and Red Rock Swing's website doesn't show any coming up on their calendar, so I'm not sure if they still do it. The water tank is still a really pretty place to go to. Perfect for watching a sunset.

Location: 500 East Red Hills Parkway
               St. George, UT 84770

Parking: There are several parking lots along Red Hills Parkway that you can park in. There is a paved walking trail (alongside the road) that you can walk on that leads to the water tank.
