Another one of the perks of working for Markel Realty Group is that my husband, Seth Lancaster is a Realtor at the brokerage! It's exciting, challenging, and fun to be able to work with him.
For Administrative Professionals Day Chantel took me out to lunch at George's. It is a yummy restaurant full of history! It is located on the same corner that the Big Hand Cafe was on in the 1930's and 40's. George Pace owned the Big Hand Cafe which is where George's got it's name. The Big Hand Cafe was a popular tourist spot located by the only stoplight in town. (Information taken from here) I love how the owners of George's have taken this history and made it a great part of this restaurant. They have pictures of the Big Hand Cafe, old pictures of St. George and the people from the 30's and 40's all over the restaurant. The menus have the history of the location on the back of them. Such a great way to honor old St. George. And the food is delicious!
