New Playground at Vernon Worthen Park

The new playground at Vernon Worthen Park is complete and ready for your kids to come play! It is one of my new favorite playgrounds for toddlers! It has a great small slide and awesome net swings.

It's also great for older kids! There are lots of things they can spin on and there's a tall net thing they can climb on. It also has one of those sit in swings and zip line things like the Thunder Junction All Abilities Park has.

Do you love picnics? There is huge pavilion with lots of picnic tables and large grassy areas. This really is a great park!

Unique Date Night Idea: Redstone Olive Oil Monthly Taste Testing Events

Are you looking for a unique date night? Something different than the typical dinner and a movie? Redstone Olive Oil has the perfect date night for you! Each month they have taste testing events as part of their Tour de Flavor. Each month they will prepare dishes from different parts of the world using their high quality olive oil and balsamics.

I was invited to attend their Mexican taste testing night in February! They start their taste testing event by explaining their olive oil and balsamics. They explain how healthy they are and how they are made. They also answer any questions.

After the discussion it's time to taste the food! When I went they made the most amazing chicken tacos with their olive oil. They also made a salad and queso. Sooo good! They ended the night with small portions of ice cream. We were able to choose whatever balsamic we wanted to put on the ice cream. I tried raspberry. It was surprisingly good! I would never have thought to put flavored balsamic on ice cream but it was great!

It was about an hour and a half long and was so much fun to do something different for date night. If you attend one of their taste testing events you get a discount on your purchase that night so of course we had to buy a couple of the olive oils. I really loved the taste of all of their oils and balsamics!

I was surprised to see how many different flavors of olive oil and balsamic vinegars they have. There were lots of fruit flavors including blueberry and dark cherry. They also had a dark chocolate balsamic! Their olive oils also come in a variety of flavors including butter, garlic and basil.

5 Places to Take Your Little One on a Cold Day

Brrrr! It's cold this week! Really though we are spoiled because it isn't that cold compared to the rest of the state. But for us it is chilly! Here are 5 of my favorite indoor spots for my little girl to keep out of the cold but keep her entertained.

#1 - St. George Children's Museum
This is a fun place for kids to discover and learn! It is probably best for ages 3 and up but my 1.5 year old has fun there too. There are different themed rooms throughout the entire place. So much to explore!

#2 - Story Time at the Library
All of the libraries in Washington County have story times. They are usually about an hour. They spend time singing, listening to stories, dancing and coloring! It's one of my favorite places to take my little girl. You can find the story times by clicking here

#3 - Play Place at the Red Cliffs Mall
Spend your time roaming the stores and letting your little one walk up and down the long hallway. Then stop by the play place for them to have even more fun! This is something fun for mom and child! Mom can do a little shopping and after that the little one can play with the slide, big tv and climb on all the play equipment. The play place is located at the main entrance of the mall across from Pizza Pie Cafe.

#4 - Fiesta Fun
Let your little one play the arcade games or just walk around and explore! There are little kid play areas in the bowling section. They also have the cutest dinosaur bowling helpers for little ones.

#5 - St. George LDS Temple Visitors Center
This is a fun, peaceful place to spend your time. They have a section in the back of the visitors center with TVs that tell different inspirational messages. There are lots of buttons your little one can push to make them play!
